It takes at least 18 days for a person to develop a habit, while a cat can develop a bad habit in just one instance!!!
Ever since moving to a new home in May, the black cat has not corrected its bad habit of urinating everywhere. The cat's behavior is disgraceful!
There are many reasons for a cat to urinate indiscriminately, but I can confirm that the reason for the black cat's behavior is definitely due to its character! The reasons are as follows:
- ❌The litter box is not dirty: I clean it twice a day.
- ❌The litter box is not too small: After moving to the new home, I bought a super large litter box that can accommodate 2-3 cats at the same time.
- ❌There is no old urine stubbornly sticking to the litter box: The litter box is brand new.
- ❌The cat is not adapting to the new home: Although we moved to a new home, the people in the house have not changed. Within a day, the black cat was already lively and active.
- ❌There is no territorial dispute with other animals: There is only one cat in the house, and two people.
- ❌There is no urinary system problem: I have observed that the cat's urination is completely normal, both in terms of quantity and color, indicating good health.
- ❌There is no problem with the litter: I have always used tofu litter for the cat. To rule out any issues with the litter, I even bought another litter box with bentonite litter.
Based on my observation over the past two months, the black cat does use the litter box every day, but it often urinates on the floor in front of closed doors, such as in the bathroom, at the entrance, and in front of my roommate's door.
Conclusion: This cat has strange habits of occupying human territory.
